Black History Month!

February is Black History Month and a great opportunity to mix history with English!

I've used the webquest  below a few times in classroom and students have found it really interesting and quite different from what is offered in the coursebook.

Woman attempts to swim from Cuba to Florida

A worksheet based on the attempt of a woman to swim from Cuba to Florida. It includes a listening comprehension exercise, a gap- fill and a matching exercise and finally a crossword based on swimming vocabulary.
